“Adobe is Lazy” ! “They can do better things” – Steeve Jobs

Where is the long term strategic leadership that Apple always had with Apple ! A strategy that boosted the power of the Mac and digital advancements specially in the entertainment field.

Today when Adobe is reaching out to more desktop and web users, Apple sees Adobe as a competitor. Apple wants to kill the Flash in the browser !

A relationship that dates back to Adobe’s origins in the early 1980s as the developer of PostScript, a font technology that made it possible to achieve attractive printed output from a PC. Apple latched onto the technology to promote desktop publishing, turning it into one of the key drivers for early Mac sales.

The drift being made by both parties: Adobe announcing products that wont run on Macs, releasing test results that show Adobe products that run faster on PCs, have all upset the Mac devotees ! On the other hand, Steeve Jobs being rigid on killing certain Adobe products.

A relationship that brought about the PostScript, Image and Video tools, juice for the faster turnaround for the entertainment industry, is gonna die in the near future with Steeve Jobs being rigid about a support for Flash Player in their mobile devices (iPad, iPod, iPhone).

There is now a reversal of history: Adobe is more important to Apple than Apple is to Adobe right now !

The outcome: Counter-Killer products ! and other competitors entering the field: Google, Microsoft !
